Philip Bachman, CIMA®

My Role at BCS Wealth Management

My primary role is to help individuals and families have clarity about financial planning and investing. This often centers on investing for their long-term financial goals. An additional focus is to lead the research for our team. This includes both individual investments and full portfolios.

Education and Experience

I graduated from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts with a B.S. in Business Management in 2007. I entered the family business after college, where I worked in accounting, finance, and operations at the Phil Bachman auto dealerships. I joined BCS Wealth Management in 2015. To further my practical education, I completed the Certified Investment Management Analyst® executive education course through Yale School of Management in 2020.

Community Involvement and Personal Notes

I am proud to live in Johnson City and the Tri-Cities region. I volunteer as a board member for the Rotary Club of Johnson City and Girls Inc. of Johnson City/Washington County. My wife, Amanda, and I are members of Munsey United Methodist Church. In 2021 I was honored as a 40 Under Forty award recipient from the Business Journal.

*A recipient of the 40 Under Forty award must be nominated. Nominees are judged on their business success and their achievements as an active member of the community and must live and work in East Tennessee or Southwest Virginia. Nominations are accompanied by letters of recommendations from places of employment and service organizations.
